“Indoor bowls? That’s for old people!”
We’ve all heard it. Some of us have even thought it.
The truth is, Indoor Bowls isn’t just for old people. Top players are often in their twenties or thirties, and will stay competitive for decades. Indoor Bowls can be played at any age, with good County level players in their eighties and nineties.
“I wish I’d found this sport twenty years ago.”

That’s what we often hear. Once you’ve caught the bowling bug, you might find yourself wishing the same.
Indoor Bowls recreates that “just one more try for the perfect shot” feeling you might get form golf, tennis, or other skilful sports. It rewards repetition and practice, but when you just want a casual game, it’s also fun.
Plus we have a bar.
Want to find out more? Take a look at our introduction for new bowlers, and if you want to give the game a try, give me, Karl Bunyan, one of the club’s qualified coaches, a call on 07947 133 778, or email karl.bunyan@iibc.uk and I’ll answer any questions you might have and set up a free introductory session.
This might be the first step towards a new, rewarding hobby.
